I have been toying with the idea of starting a Catholic blog for quite a while now. I can almost hear you say: What, another one? And (shudder) a traditional one at that?
Yes, yes, I know we've got widely read Father Z, Fr Finnigan, some of us might have come across Fr Michael Brown's Forest Murmurs as well (and I will not even attempt to compete with the Reverend Fathers, nor do I think I can), but this one will be different. I will focus on what is going on in my native Poland, for the traditional Catholic movement there has really gained momentum recently, and it seems we will only go from strength to strength now. I will try to bring the world of Polish Catholics closer to English speaking readers; this is my first and foremost purpose of starting this blog, but I will also want to bring you my take on whatever happens in Britain and elsewhere.
I'm a 22 year old final year undergraduate, organist and altar server and an ex - seminarian, I have a keen interest in (among others): Liturgy, Theology, Biblical Studies and Gregorian Chant. I have recently translated a book by M. Aquilina - 'Mass of the Early Christians' and I am set to start work on my next project - a book on Padre Pio, written by a priest who knew the Saint personally.
